![]() I also wanna do a book review for I Am Princess X, and maybe do a post about indie game development. The next review I'm thinking about for Netflix is Everything Sucks, which I really enjoyed a lot more than I expected. Whew that was kind of long sorry I haven't posted a review in a while I just been busy working on The Girls Of NostoNeo, I'll try to set aside sometime so I can watch, read, and play more things to review. Overall, I think Face2Face is a good movie if you like drama and found footage movies (that aren't spooky) then this is this is the movie for you. Though, that's a post for another day.maybe. Don't get me wrong I still like romance ( I use that plot point in a lot my stories) but when it's more about the sexual feelings you have for a person, or how good they are in bed than the memories and experiences you shared together it gets a bit old and boring (*cough* She's Gotta Have It: The Series*cough*). Which is a lesson I think that a lot shows and movies (especially on Netflix) have forgotten. Sometime the best relationship to have is a friendship, you can be close to someone and care about them without having romantic feelings for them. It was refreshing to see a movie with a boy and a girl lead who didn't fall for each other at the end. I also like how at the end of the movie, Madison and Teel don't fall for each other, they just stay close friend. The movie is really well paced, while there are some moments that do feel short and jumbled together but this movie is sorta of a found footage movie so it makes sense, but all of the moments are important in helping to lead up the big finish and make the end feel satisfying. This scene really shows how much Madison trust Teel, since makeup and appearance means a lot to her, so it's like Madison is sharing a another side of herself with Teel, and after that she keeps the same look through out the rest of film. ![]() This film is not currently playing on MUBI, but many other great films are. One of my favorite parts of the movie is where Teel helps Madison with her makeup making her look more natural than her usual caked on makeup. Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema. They help moviate each other to do things, and share each experiences through the screen. The movie also has good relationship development between the characters, They start out as basically strangers don't really know each other to best friends, who care deeply about each other. The characters also act like regular teens having mood swings, being moody, and giving each other the cold shoulder. While there is some cringey lines and jokes here and there it's not enough to take me out of the movie. Face2Face is a type of movie you have to watch twice to really get into it. They share each other highs and lows and become more open with one another as they spent more time with each other. I could tell this movie wasn't a Netflix original because these kids talked pretty much like real teenagers for the most part (and they actually look like teenagers, Reality Check!). Face2Face is a movie on Netflix about two childhood friends reconnecting over Skype. Another thing this movie gets right is the dialogue between the main characters. Things like the main character, Teel throwing up at the beginning after getting in contact with his childhood friend, Madison, or Madison getting grounded after her dad finds that she's out at party at midnight instead of laying in bed, and even Teel comparing her to Snow White. It does a good job in my opinion of placing hints here and there at the start that seem irrelevant until the end.
